Obituary

KYNDAL MICHELE WHITLOCK, of Ovilla, Texas, went home to Jesus on November 16, 2022, at the age of 38.

Kyndal was a dearly loved daughter of Pete and Carol Haveron and Mike and Toni Hafner. She was born in Austin, Texas, on September 5, 1984. From an early age, Kyndal cherished being outdoors and experiencing nature. Throughout her life, she enjoyed camping, fishing, hiking, and being with animals of all kinds. The beach was truly Kyndal’s happy place.

She graduated from Red Oak High School and turned her sights on a career in nursing. Kyndal married Chad Whitlock May 17, 2010. She continued to serve as a dedicated and skilled nurse until she embraced the privilege of being a full-time Mom to their children—Aubree, Alaina, and Austin.

The role of Mama Bear suited Kyndal well, and she developed an inner strength and courage that defined her approach to life. Kyndal deeply loved having her family and friends together often and so her favorite holiday was Thanksgiving.

Even more than the outdoors and her family, Kyndal loved Jesus Christ, and her relationship with Him meant everything to her. She was an active member of Creekside Church and counted it a privilege to serve the Lord in all areas of her life.

Kyndal was preceded in death by her grandfather Eddie Schreiber and grandmother Nana Debbie Powell.

She is survived by her parents; Pete and Carol Haveron; Mike and Toni Hafner; her husband Chad; her children Aubree; Alaina; and Austin; her siblings Amy, Chelsea, Michael, and Zach; her grandmother, Wanda Schreiber; her grandfather, Dudley Hafner; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

While she departed this life far too early, her family did not tell her goodbye—they simply said, “Until we meet again.”

The family will be receiving visitors at Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home in Waxahachie on Monday, November 21, 2022 from 6 to 8 p.m.

A Celebration of Life for Kyndal will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 11 a.m. at the Creekside Church in Midlothian. Interment will follow at the Waxahachie City Cemetery, 300 S Hawkins St, in Waxahachie.

In lieu of flowers, the family request you please consider making a small donation in Kyndal's name to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition; give.ovarian.org
