George Mathews
<p>George Mathews, 55, husband of Karen Hughes Mathews, died Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at his residence. Born December 17, 1966 in Bell, CA., he was the son of Mary Margaret "Bunny" Filius Tackett of Helendale, CA and the late Edward A. Mathews. He was a truckdriver and had worked as a truckspotter at Bay West. George enjoyed coin collecting, watching t.v., drinking his coffee, and smoking his cigarettes.</p><p><br></p><p>Survivors besides his wife and mother include two sons: George (Brittany) Mathews, II of Cincinnati, and Adam Mathews of Harrodsburg; two daughters: Becky (Chris) Craig of Harrodsburg, and Jessica (Robert) Connelly of Stanford; three brothers, three, sisters, and ten grandchildren also survive.</p><p><br></p><p>He was preceded in death by one grandson Alexander Scott Connelly.</p><p><br></p><p>Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 18, 2022 at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Lynn Releford officiating.
