<p>WATERVLIET – Beverly Jean Maloney of Port Schuyler passed peacefully from this life on Monday, November 14, 2022 at the age of 78.</p><p><br></p><p>Beverly was born in Troy, NY on February 3, 1944 to loving parents John F. Maloney, Jr. and Ann Gaynor Maloney. She was raised in Troy and received her primary education at the former St. Patrick’s School and later graduated from Catholic Central High School. Beverly has been a resident of Watervliet for forty two years.</p><p><br></p><p>In the early years following high school Beverly worked for several area banks. She later worked for the Federal Credit Union at the Watervliet Arsenal and for the New York State Retirement System in Albany from where she retired thirteen years ago. Most recently Beverly enjoyed working part-time at Broadway News in Troy.</p><p><br></p><p>Beverly lived a life of dedication to her family and the values of her Catholic faith. She enjoyed times spent with her family and friends and serving others in the community through volunteerism. Beverly enjoyed helping others through her membership in the Columbiettes in Troy; as a parishioner of the Shrine Church of St. Anthony of Padua in Troy where she served as a Bingo worker, Eucharistic Minister, Lector and parish finance committee member and as a member of the woman’s board of the Lansingburgh Independent Baseball League. She enjoyed league bowling, Bingo and testing her luck at games of chance. She was very proud of her Irish ancestry and heritage. </p><p><br></p><p>Beverly held a very special friendship with her cousin Patricia Renna. Throughout Beverly’s illness Patricia cared for her with unending love and devotion and became her primary caregiver. Beverly’s siblings and their families would like to acknowledge and offer their heartfelt thanks to Patricia for her care, love and support. </p><p><br></p><p>Beverly is survived by her brother, John F. Maloney and his wife Peggy; her sister, Maureen Hunemuller and her husband Neal and several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, great-grandnieces, great-grand-nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Thomas Maloney.</p><p><br></p><p>A funeral Mass for Beverly will be celebrated in the Shrine Church of St. Anthony of Padua, 28 State Street in Troy on Saturday at 11am and the Rite of Committal and interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Troy. </p><p><br></p><p>Friends are invited to attend and may also visit with Beverly’s family on Friday from 4 until 7 pm at the Cummings Funeral Home, 643 Third Avenue, Watervliet. </p><p><br></p><p>For those who wish to remember Beverly in a special way, donations may be made to a favorite charity of one’s choice in her memory. </p><p><br></p>

Beverly was born in Troy, NY on February 3, 1944 to loving parents John F. Maloney, Jr. and Ann Gaynor Maloney.
