<p>William Defoe Wood “Billy”, age 75, of Andrews, TX., passed away, November 8, 2022, in San Angelo, TX. </p><p><br></p><p>Family and Friend will gather to celebrate his life 10:00 AM, Thursday, November 17, 2022, at The Andrews Old Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of McNett Funeral Home. </p><p><br></p><p>Billy was born September 5, 1947, in Midland, TX. to Roy Len Wood and Helen Lee “Lansford” Wood. Billy was a proud Veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He served from 1967-1972 and honorably fought in the Vietnam War, where he received a National Defense Service Medal, and a Vietnam Cross of Gallantry. Billy loved to go hunting and fishing, and loved to spend time with his grandchildren. He was an amazing father, grandfather, and friend and will be dearly missed. </p><p><br></p><p>He is survived by his son: Tuffy Wood and wife Candi of San Angelo, Texas; daughter: Stephanie Wood of Andrews, Texas; 3 grandchildren: Mackynzie Evans and husband Tyler; Mackynna Riojas and husband Tomas; and Sterlyn Wood and fiancé Jordyn Hayes; and great granddaughter: Aspyn Riojas. </p><p><br></p><p>Billy is preceded in death by his parents: Roy and Helen Wood.</p>Obituary
