Armando Renzullo Obituary

It is with great sadness the family of Armando Renzullo announce his passing on Sunday, November 6, 2022, at the age of 82. Armando was born May 1, 1940, in Macchiagodena, Italy. Armando met and married his loving wife Addolorata (Dora) in 1964. They started their family with the birth of two children, Rosa and Benny, before he immigrated to Australia in 1967, to which family followed two years later. In 1971, they immigrated to Thunder Bay and had their third child, Peter. Armando worked as a labourer, mainly for Barbini and Lafarge. Despite the rigors of construction, he always tended to his garden and took pride in the fruits of his labour in helping feed his family. With the help of his brother in laws, he built his only home to which he lived in for 46 years. Wine making was his great joy. Every year he would make wine to which he shared happily with friends and family. He always had an open door, a table full of food and drinks, jokes to laugh at, and most importantly, friendship to all. Armando's last years were taking care of his ill wife, and his children are eternally proud in having him in this caregiving role. Armando lived a simple life and he wouldn't want it any other way, he will be missed dearly.

Armando is survived by his wife of 58 years, Dora, children Rosa, Benny (Kelly), Peter, grandchildren Lawrence (Samantha), Julianna, Dante, Isabella, great-grandchildren Sophia, Santino, sister Domenica (Gennaro), as well as many nieces and nephews.

Armando is predeceased by his father Benedetto, mother Addolarata, sisters Felicia, Incoronata, brother Pasquale (Domenica), as well as his mother-in-law, father-in-law, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, and other relatives.

Our heartful thanks to the staff at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, your compassion and level of care will forever be remembered.
