Virgil Richard Jones Sr. passed away Friday, November 4, 2022. Virgil was born October 29, 1946, in Butler, MO, to Ed & Roxanne Jones. He married Bertha Loretta Simmons on February 12, 1968.

He enjoyed riding mules and horses, operating heavy equipment, running a dump truck, and spending late-night mule rides while coon hunting with dogs and his buddies. In his later years, he enjoyed the company of family around him and his dog, Rock

Survivors included his son, Virgil Richard “Rick” Jones Jr. (Tina), grandkids; Ben Welborn (Morgan), Seth Welborn, Jessica Norwood (Aaron), Dalton Jones (Bri), eight great-grandkids, a sister Elaine Bough (Kyle) of Texas, and a brother, Ray Igou of Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, three sisters and four brothers, and a daughter Debora Smith.
