James Willis Williams Obituary

James Willis Williams, son of George Williams and Leeta (Beard) Williams, was born September 26, 1936 in Monterey, Missouri. He departed this life, November 5, 2022 in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of eighty-six years, one month and ten days.


James was united in marriage to Patricia Reinalt and to this union one child was born. Together they shared twenty-eight of years of marriage until her passing in 2000. In 2004 James married Joyce Ann Robertson and shared fifteen years of marriage until her passing in 2019.


He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Patricia Williams; second wife, Joyce Williams, and a brother, Samuel Williams.


He is survived by his daughter, Jacki Jordan & husband Kevin of Camdenton, Missouri; two grandchildren, Trisha Jordan of Springfield, Illinois, Michelle Root & husband Graham of Camdenton, Missouri; two great-grandchildren, Roxanne Root, Gracyn Root; one sister, Georgemma Helton & husband Donald of Pacific; two brothers, Harold Williams & wife Brenda of Independence, Missouri, Lester “Sonny” Williams of Florida; and his fiancé, Trish Vandyk. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.


James was raised in Valley Park, Missouri. After schooling he enlisted in the United States Army. He would serve his country for twenty-three years and was a veteran of the Vietnam war. The Army would have him stationed all over the world during his enlistment time and would meet and marry the love of his life Patricia in Germany. James retired from the Army and move to the Lake of the Ozarks where he lived until his passing.


In his spare time James enjoyed reading, watching westerns. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #81 in Wheeling, Illinois for over fifty years. James’ humor showed as he loved taking trips to Casinos where he would state that “he went to make a deposit”.


He was a loving and a caring father, grandfather, great-grandfather, neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends.


Graveside services will be held at 11:00a.m., Wednesday, November 9, 2022 in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri. Burial will follow in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, Missouri. A visitation will be held from 2:00p.m. to 3:00p.m., Tuesday, November 8, 2022 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral home in Camdenton, Missouri.


Memorial donations may be made to UNICEF and left at the funeral home.
