Marcine Ann Gudakunst, age 73, of Bradner, Ohio passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at UTMC in Toledo, Ohio. She was born in Toledo on January 5, 1949, to the late Joseph and Anne (Tarka) Lewandowski. Marcine married Michael J. Gudakunst on January 30, 1971, in Toledo, and he preceded her in passing on April 17, 2014.

Marcine was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd near Wayne, and was also a member of the Albert Bowe American Legion Auxiliary Post #338 in Bradner. She was an avid crafter and participated in many craft shows as “Mrs. G’s Crafts” throughout Wood and Lucas County. Marcine was known for her infamous grape jelly and could always be found in front of the grill or behind the bar at the former Mad Dawgs Bar in Bradner.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph & Anne; loving husband, Mike; sister, Carol Davis; brother-in-law, Tim Davis; and nephew, Jamel. Surviving Marcine are her sons, Michael Gudakunst II, Harold (Heidi) Gudakunst; daughter, Tammy Maran; siblings, Tom (Marilyn) Lewandowski, Joanne (Art) Roudebush, Georgia (George) Bieber; grandchildren, Kenny (Meghan) Maran, Branden (Kate) Maran, Anna & Joey Gudakunst, Luke Lacusky; and three beautiful great-granddaughters, Cecilia, Elizabeth, and Madilyn.

Friends will be received from 2:00 – 8:00 PM on Monday, November 7, 2022, at Barndt Funeral Home in Wayne, Ohio, where a Legion Auxiliary Service will begin at 7:45 PM. Additional visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, from 9:30 – 10:00 AM at the Church of the Good Shepherd near Wayne, where a Celebration of Life Service will begin at 10:00 AM with Pastor Brad Kehn officiating. Graveside service will be at Bradner Cemetery, with a bereavement luncheon to follow back at the Church of the Good Shepherd. Memorial donations may be made to Church of the Good Shepherd.
