Eston was a wonderful guy to have a drink with. He was quick with a joke and I always felt better after having talked with him. A great memory of him came from when I'd left Cookeville, but emailed him the lyrics to a Gaelic song, thinking he might have some clue about... Continue Reading

One day Dr. Evans asked me not to say anything in class because everyone was depending on me because I read the assignment and was ready to discuss it. During the class all of my classmates were looking at me confused and upset because I didn’t keep the discussion going... Continue Reading

It's with great sadness I write this. My condolences to Peggy and Eston's family. Eston was a neighbor as we grew up, a classmate, and a great and witty friend whose sense of humor is what comes to mind when KI remember Eston.

I had Dr Evans for German as an undergraduate at Tech. I remember I had a hard time making his 8a class. I got the highest grade on his midterm..he laughed and said someone who misses class & gets a 96! I said surprised? He laughed and said no..just amazed!
