Harriett E. Oakley 86 of Eaton, Ohio passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022, in Eaton. Born on November 2, 1935, in Wayne County, Indiana she was the daughter of the late Harry H & Sarah A (Elliott) Wadman. Harriett was a Nurse’s Aide retiring in 1996 from Grandview Hospital in Dayton. She was a member of the First Assembly of God in Richmond, IN.

Preceded in death by her first husband: Gene R. Burke in 1990. Granddaughter: Lyndsay Burke in 2018; stepdaughter: Sherrie Arzola in 2019 brother and several sisters.

Survived by her husband Richard Oakley of 20 years; children: Larry G. & Pam Burke of Eaton, Ohio; Sandra E. & Stan Rose of Camden, Ohio and Jennifer R. & Donald Hurd of Richmond, IN. Stepchildren: Deborah L. & Lorenzo Salazar, Donald Oakley and Bud Oakley all of Richmond, IN. grandchildren: Ivan, Brock, Brett, Derek, Stephen, Stacey, Danielle, Brandon and Tyler and six step grandchildren. 23 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren.

Family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday November 4, 2022, at Barnes Funeral Home – 220 East Main Street – Eaton, Ohio. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton. Memorial contributions may be made to the Eaton Fire & EMS.
