Daisy Mae Diocares Braga

<p>On October 15, 2022, Daisy Mae Diocares Braga passed away surrounded by loved ones, after a battle with lung cancer. She was born August 12, 1980 in Kodiak, AK to David and Zenaida Diocares. She grew up in a large, loving family with five sisters and one brother. On April 14, 2002, she married Emmanuel Braga. They lived in Kodiak and started a family and eventually settled in Anchorage, AK.</p><p><br></p><p>Daisy graduated from Kodiak High School in 1999 and dedicated 22 years of her life working for Spenard Builders Supply in the Design Center. She was well known by her customers for her expertise in designing kitchens. Daisy was a driven professional with an unmatched work ethic, always going above and beyond for her clients.</p><p><br></p><p>She enjoyed spending time with her family, camping, baking cookies (and perfecting her chocolate chip recipe) and enjoyed fresh seafood including king crab. Daisy was loved by many and loved her family, children, Godchildren, and anyone who crossed her path with all of her heart. Her home and her heart were always open to any of their children's friends that would pass through, always providing them a place to feel loved.</p><p><br></p><p>When diagnosed with lung cancer in November of 2017, Daisy remained dedicated to her family and her job. She was optimistic that she would beat the cancer. She was strong-willed and brave, even throughout her final weeks.</p><p><br></p><p>Daisy is survived by her loving husband Emmanuel; her children Emma (Andy), Kobe, and Jericho; parents David and Zenaida; siblings Michelle (Jeremy), Marivic, Marijoy (Rejean), Melissa, Nellie, and David Jr. (Emily); niece Selene and nephews Sawyer, Liam, Lucas, and Levi.<br></p>
