Arlis Kay Carter Obituary

Arlis Kay Carter, age 73, of Elizabethtown, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2022, at Elizabethtown Nursing and Rehabilitation.

 

She could spot the beauty in everything and loved collecting rocks, baseball, softball and God, but most of all she loved spending time with her family

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Carter; her parents, Bertrand and Reba Avitt Nevitt; two sisters, Joyce Peterson and Deidra Craig and four brothers, Norman Nevitt, Randall Nevitt, Cary Nevitt and Rex Nevitt.

 

She is survived a daughter, Leah Peters of Elizabethtown; three sons, Steven Carter of Lexington and Andrew “Andy" (Alison) Carter and Brett Carter both of Hodgenville; three sisters, Marlene Madrid and Andrea Stivers both of Elizabethtown, Mavis Robles of Louisville; two brothers, Clayton Nevitt of Union Star and Reid Nevitt of Louisville; eight grandchildren, Josh (Brandi) Carter, Kayla (Opie) Nevills, Kobe Peters, Emma Carter, Ella Carter, Elijah Carter, Aven Carter and Ruby Kay Carter and ten Great-grandchildren.

 

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 1, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Brian Wood officiating.

 

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
