<p>CHURCH POINT ~&nbsp;A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at 115 Gouaux Road, Lafayette, LA 70507 for Karen Majella Alleman, age 58, who passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at her residence in Church Point.</p><p><br></p><p>Karen was a native of Carencro, lived in Alabama for 15 years, and was currently a resident of Church Point. After graduating high school, she went on to work many jobs, but her favorite place to be was at KOA Campground as a custodian. She had a huge heart, loved her nieces and nephews, and her family meant the world to her. She also had a fond love of animals. Karen will be greatly missed by all who knew her.</p><p><br></p><p>Survivors include her companion, Leroy Louviere of Lafayette; her mother, Adeline “Sis” Schexnayder Alleman of Carencro; a brother, Kirk Alleman (Marie) of Kermit, TX; two sisters, Kim Harper (Earl) of Carencro, and Kelly Trahan (Michell) of Duson; two Godchildren, Lauren Vincent, and Jamie Hutto; and numerous dear nieces, nephews, and friends.</p><p><br></p><p>She was preceded in death by her father, Roy “Pa” Alleman; her sister, Katrina Alleman; and her nephew, Dustin Alleman.</p><p>A special thanks is extended to the staff of Hospice of Acadiana for their compassionate care for Karen and her family during this difficult time.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Karen’s name may be made to Hospice of Acadiana, by mail at 2600 Johnston Street, Suite 200, Lafayette, LA, 70503, by phone at 337-232-1234, or by clicking the link below.</p><p><br></p><p>Melancon Funeral Home, Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel, 4117 N.
