Annie Ruth Lipford

Mrs. Annie Ruth Taylor Lipford, age 94, of Yadkinville, formerly of Ashe County went to her heavenly home Monday, October 24, 2022, surrounded by her family at her home.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 28, 2022 at 1:00pm at Valley Home Baptist Church in Todd. Burial will follow in the Calloway Cemetery, where she will be placed with her loving husband.

The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00pm on Friday, October 28, 2022; one hour prior to the funeral service.

She was born on April 19, 1928 to the late Bruce and Lula Howell Taylor in the mountains of Ashe County.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Arlis Lipford, infant twin children, Ilene and Roy Dean Taylor, son-in-law, Mike McClure, grandsons, Adam Taylor and Jacob McClure, sisters, Laura Ellen Taylor, Faye Campbell and Bula Rash, brothers, Vonley Howell, Joe Dan Taylor, Wiley Taylor, Roger Taylor, Bobby Taylor and J.D. Taylor.

Mrs. Lipford is survived by: three sisters, Ginger Wood, of West Jefferson, Myrtle (Bill) Testerman, of Maryland and Virginia Ackerman, of West Jefferson; a sister-in-law, Patsy Taylor, of Todd; a son, Lundy (Deloris) Taylor of Creston; two daughters, Candy McClure of Yadkinville and Cookey (Sam) Eddleman of Yadkinville; seven grandchildren, Crystal (William) Hiatt, Samantha (William) McMichael, Candice (Mitch) Bodenhamer, Sammy (Ashley) Eddleman; Michelle (Jonathan) Martin, Aaron Eddleman and a special granddaughter, Ariel (Bobby) Mash; ten great-grandchildren Emily Hiatt, Will and Brice McMichael, Jakob, Mason and Noah Eddleman Ezra (Ezzie) and Octavia Mash, Haiden and Noah Martin; several nieces and nephews also survive.
