Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister passed away Sunday, October 23, 2022, at McLaren Bay Region, age 87. Carlene was born November 3, 1934, in Bay City to the late Fabian and Rose (Lewandowski) Tasiemski. She married Stanley E. Piechowiak, and he predeceased her. Carlene later married Donald Priestley and he predeceased her as well. She was employed with K-Mart Corporation for several years, working at the Essexville store as their personnel manager until she transferred to the Grand Rapids area filling various positions until her retirement. Carlene was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish- St. Stanislaus Church and the Senior Citizens Club. She enjoyed fishing, going on casino bus trips with her friends, and loved watching her favorite baseball team the Detroit Tigers, but most importantly she loved spending time with her beloved family.

Carlene is survived by her three sons: Tom (Marianne) Piechowiak, Tim (Mary) Piechowiak and Kevin Piechowiak (special friend Melanie Nodis), eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two brothers Ron and Gary Tasiemski, one sister-in-law Shirley Leveille, many nieces and nephews and a dear neighbor who helped Carlene daily, Connie Crozier. Carlene was predeceased by her son Mark Piechowiak, daughter Lynn Drzewicki, grandson Kyle Piechowiak, sister Jeanette Roznowski, daughter-in-law Debra Piechowiak and two sisters-in-law, Marlene, and Suzanne Tasiemski.

The Funeral Mass for Carlene will be celebrated Friday, October 28, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish-St. Stanislaus Church, 1503 Kosciuszko Ave., Bay City, MI 48708. Fr. William J. Rutkowski will celebrate Mass and interment will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Family and friends will gather at the church only on Friday, October 28th from 9:30 AM until the time of Mass. No visitation will be held at Ambrose Funeral Home.
