Peter Kenneth Williams, 63, passed away suddenly on Monday, October 10, 2022, while on a business trip to Las Vegas, Nevada.

Peter was born in Haverhill, MA on October 21, 1958. He was the son of Edward Ellsworth Williams and Pauline Scott Williams of Exeter, NH. He graduated from Exeter High School, Class of 1976, and Phillips Exeter Academy (PEA), Class of 1977. Peter earned his undergraduate degree at the University of West Florida in Pensacola, Class of 1982 and went on to receive his MBA from the Iese Business School at the University of Navarre in Barcelona, Spain.

Peter enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1990 and was sent to the Defense Language Institute (DLI), Monterey, CA where he was instructed in the Russian language. While in the Army he earned the National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Medal, Expert Badge Grenade, and Sharpshooter Badge Rifle. Peter was honorably discharged in 1998 and then worked at the U.S. Embassy in Moscow as a civil servant.

Peter is predeceased by his parents Edward and Pauline Williams. Surviving family members include his older brother, Edward Scott Williams and sister-in-law Tracy Emerton Williams of North Hampton, NH; his youngest brother, Timothy Edward Williams and his wife Ali Cano of Chadds Ford, PA; his beloved niece Alexandra Catherine Williams and her fiancé Ernesto Fernandez; beloved nephews, Nathaniel Joseph Williams, Sebastian Edward Williams, and Nicolas Santiago Williams, his uncle Robert Manning and his wife Loretta and his great aunt Mary Williams Jordan. He also leaves behind many cousins: Mary, Kevin, James and Ayden Wheeler, Sue Crumley and Lisa Walsh and their families. Albert Lang Jr., Edward Lang, Michael Jordan, Terry Jordan, Nancy Schuster, and their families.

He also leaves behind special friends Michael Muder, Gina Davis, Chris Emerton, Edward Townley, Karel Pena, Scott Janikowski, Knut Olsen, Rex Essenowo, Alexander Gonzalez, Ray Greeley, Alan Greenwood, Bob Corning, Dick Evans, David Hill, Dana Barbin and many more.

Peter Williams was an amazing mathematician and a gentle, generous person. He readily helped his family and friends in need. He was a very special person and will be incredibly missed by his family and friends.

There will be no calling hours; Burial services with military honors will be held at the Exeter Cemetery, Linden Street, Exeter on Saturday, November 12, 2022 @ 1:00PM.
