Bertie Mae Harris Stegall joined her husband, Harry, and two sons, Harry Jr. and Tommy Wayne, in eternal life on Sunday, October 16, 2022. She was born in Macon, North Carolina to the late Tolly Ransom Harris and Mae Shearin Harris. Four siblings, Lucille H. McClanahan, Edith I. Harris, Myrtice H. Bolton, and Tolly R. Harris, Jr., preceded her in death.

She is survived by two daughters, June Bartlett and husband Ralph, and Susan Friedlander; five grandchildren: Frank Stegall; Stephanie Stegall; T. Wayne Stegall, Jr., and wife Kellie; Jessica Stegall; and Todd Bartlett, with eight great-grandchildren, Lukas, Evan, Cole, Cooper, Haleigh, Malik, Elijah, and Arianna, and two sisters: Ruby Carroll and Virgie Roberts, daughter-in-law Lula Harding Stegall, sister-in-law Jean Harris, and brother-in-law Ernest Stegall. Additionally, Mrs. Stegall is survived by many beloved nieces and nephews and family relatives.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time of 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at the Warren Plains United Methodist Church, 1316 Warren Plains Road, Warrenton, North Carolina, with the Reverend Michael H. Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery, Macon, North Carolina.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Warren Plains United Methodist Church Building Fund.
