Donna Norman

<p>Donna Marie (Stuart) Norman was born March 10, 1949, in Leon, IA to Earl Clifton &amp; Betty Louise (Harris) Stuart. She grew up on the family farm in Ringgold County, IA, where she worked hard with her three sisters.</p><p><br></p><p>She went to Beaconsfield School through the 4th grade and continued on at Grand Valley Community School, where she was a graduate of the class of 1967. She had lots of good memories, including being crowned the Homecoming Queen her senior year.</p><p><br></p><p>After graduating from high school, Donna moved to Des Moines and worked for AID Insurance. In 1969, Donna was united in marriage to Lonnie Norman (Decatur City, IA). They made their home in Weldon, IA and was later blessed with a son, Cory. During their marriage, they enjoyed traveling to rodeos. Donna especially loved competing in barrel racing and won many ribbons and trophies. Later on, Donna and Lonnie divorced and she moved to Waukee, where she lived for 37yrs. She worked for McDonald’s, Greyhound and Hardee's. In April of 2022, Donna moved to her final home at Lakeside Village Assisted Living in Panora, IA. Donna and her family are grateful to Lakeside Village’s staff &amp; residents for their friendship and care.</p><p><br></p><p>Donna’s pride and joy was her son, Cory and grandson, Avery. She enjoyed watching Avery participate in sports and excel in his schooling. Donna also loved animals, especially her horses and cats. She leaves behind her horse, Scooter. Donna never met a stranger and you could always catch her meeting new friends uptown listening to live music or playing bingo. She also loved to shop for new clothes, makeup and having her nails done.</p><p><br></p><p>Donna passed away at home on October 16, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers-in-laws, Marion Pfaff and Richard Gerrard.</p><p><br></p><p>Left to cherish her memory include her son, Cory &amp; his wife, Mandy Norman and grandson, Avery Norman, all of Stuart, IA; sisters Linda Pfaff-Gerrard of Waukee, IA, Diana (Richard) Cervetti of Granger, IA, Marilyn Parkhurst of Eagleville, MO; nieces &amp; nephews Cody (Kari) Parkhurst, Chelsea (Dale) Guernsey, Tyeler Cervetti, Talia Cervetti, Tarah Cervetti-Audestin; along with many other relatives and friends.</p><p><br></p><p>Visitation will be held at Armstrong Funeral Home in Mount Ayr on Saturday, October 22 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with services beginning at 2:00 p.m. Inurnment will be at Maple Row Cemetery in Kellerton at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family.</p><p><br></p>

I just read of your loss. I am very sorry. Donna had called to talk to Uncle Mike before his death and he was sleeping. She and I talked for quite a while. She was very caring.
She's now in Gods care.
