<p>Affectionately known as “Good ol Sam”</p><p>Sam was born in Englehart on September 8, 1929 and passed away on October 8, 2022.</p><p>Sam is survived by his wife Jean of 67 years, sons Murray (Janice), Dale (Maryann), daughter Alice (Delbert) Stanlee and grandchildren Shirley (Justin), Amanda, Sam John (Crystal), Dean (Christina), Samantha James and Tia and Courtney; great grandchildren Daryl, Jewel, Jennifer, Zeidan, Adele, Bethany and Trenton, Amber, and brother Ron (Marlene).</p><p>Sam was predeceased by his father and mother, Eddy and Margaret Arbuckle, sister Margaret Plaunt and brother Eddy.</p><p>Sam was proud to be a part of Bell Telephone pioneers, Shriners, Masons, Kiwanis, U.S. Masons suppers, as well as his many coffee friends and the Evangelical Fellowship Church.</p><p>Sam was passionate about the number of trees destroyed by forest fires and floods. Please plant a tree in his memory. aliving tribute.ca.</p><p>Sam if you can’t stand steady on this earth God will teach you to fly.</p><p>Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Evangelical Fellowship Church, Fort Frances, Ontario.</p><p><br></p>
