<p>Patricia Ann Wilcox Forgas, 71, of Springfield, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, October 6, 2022.</p><p><br></p><p>She was born on August 16, 1951, in Springfield, the daughter of George Robert Wilcox and Edna Mildred Hill Wilcox of Cantrall, IL. She married Henry K. Forgas on February 10, 1973, at Holy Family Church.</p><p><br></p><p>Patricia graduated from Athens High School and worked at Sangamo as a stenographer, Schmidt Brother Heating and Cooling as a secretary, and Sangamon State University and UIS in the ticket and Bursar offices and retired in 2014. She was a member of Holy Family Parish in Athens as well as St. Aloysius Parish in Springfield.</p><p><br></p><p>Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; brother, Michael Wilcox; and nephew, Robert Lueken.</p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by her loving husband, Henry of Springfield; children, Jennifer of Colorado, and Jason of Springfield; grandchildren, Lauren of Chicago, and Miles of Springfield; sisters, Deborah Lueken, and Pamela Leonard, both of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.</p><p><br></p><p>Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.</p><p><br></p><p>The family will be hosting a graveside ceremony at Brittin Cemetery in Cantrall at a later date.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>The family is being served by Boardman-Smith Funeral Home – 800 S. Grand Ave. West, Springfield.</p><p><br></p>
