Marie Theresa Mills

<p>Marie Theresa Mills of Bend, Oregon, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Monday, October 3, 2022, at her home in Bend.</p><p>Marie was born May 1, 1928 in Bend, Oregon to Maurice and Margaret Murphy. She married Max F. Mills on July 15, 1950.</p><p><br></p><p>Marie was a graduate of Bend High School, class of 1946. She was a stay-at-home parent until going to work at the Wagner Mall Liquor Store. Marie worked there for over 25 years and became known by many.</p><p>Marie loved her boys, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren more than words could describe.</p><p>Marie enjoyed playing bridge with friends and bridge groups. In fact, she played a week before her passing.</p><p><br></p><p>Marie is survived by her sons, Max E. (Lori), Marc (Shanda), and Marvin (Kristina). Other survivors include her seven grandchildren; Kristine, Kyle, Kelli, Jinny, Marc Jr., Brooke, and Brandon. Marie also had six great-grandchildren, with another one on the way.</p><p><br></p><p>The family wishes to thank Tim Mulrooney and Maureen Hennings for their special love and care; Hospice House of Bend for their caring support; and Bishop James Radloff for the love and care shown to our mother.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, please send your donations to: Partners in Care Hospice House of Bend, 2075 NE Wyatt Ct. Marie was my next door neighbor for three years. She was a sweet, calming presence for my son and me. She made us cookies. We shared our garbage service. We had her over. She'd have me over. We'd chat on the phone. I miss her.

I was so sad to hear of Marie's passing. Such an awesome lady! Talked to her when she would be at school functions for Marc.

I worked with Max for years and I loved Marie. My favorite thing at parties were watching them dance together. Oh my, could they cut a rug! Well, Max has his dance partner back and i can imagine how much joy and love that reunion was. Wanda Callahan Kunz
