Dorothy R (Weisel) McGuire, age 91 of Lakewood, Ohio passed away peacefully on October 1, 2022. She is survived by children Kathleen (Neil), Kevin (Barb), Brian (Renee), Terry (Joyce), Maureen (John), and Megan. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years Howard, son Timothy (Laura), parents Joseph and Edna, sisters Margie and Marilyn, and brother Gerald. She was born in Altoona, PA and was a proud veteran of the Navy WAVES. Dorothy was a member of St. Luke’s Parish in Lakewood for 60 years where she was an RCIA sponsor for many years. She was a devoted Catholic and her faith was an important aspect of her life. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and was a proud grandmother of 14 and great -grandmother of 12 with 2 more on the way. Calling hours will be from 3:00 to 7:00 on Sunday October 9, at McGorray-Hanna

Funeral Home, 14133 Detroit Ave. Lakewood, Oh 44107. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church, 1212 Bunts Rd, Lakewood, OH on Monday October 10, at 10:00 AM (please meet at the church). Interment at Holy Cross cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org in her memory.
