<p>Gladys Fairhurst, 96, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2022 at Overlook Nursing and Rehab Center in Pascoag. She was born on February 6, 1926 in Pawtucket to Richard and Mary Cunningham Taylor. She was a resident of Lincoln for many years with her husband, Albert Fairhurst, where they raised their family.</p><p>Gladys was a homemaker who worked part time at International Pkg. Co. in Pawtucket. She was a devoted Sunday school teacher at the Smithfield Ave. Congregational Church in Pawtucket before her retirement. She was also a member of the East Providence Yacht Club, where she enjoyed many boating activities with her husband and friends. Gladys was an animal lover and was especially devoted to her cats. She was also an avid reader.</p><p>She is survived by her son, Earl Fairhurst (Moira) of Southampton N.J.; daughters: Marcia Read (Bruce) of Pascoag and Patti DeWaele (James) of Woodstock, CT. Gladys had six grandchildren: Matthew Fairhurst, Meghan Graeff, Rebecca Crawley, Amanda Balboni, Andraea DeWaele and Tyler DeWaele. She also had six great grandchildren and four step great grandchildren.</p><p>The family’s celebration of her life will be private.</p><p>www.boucherfh.com</p><p><br></p>
