Andrew Marquez, 36, unexpectedly passed away on September 26, 2022, in Anchorage, Alaska. Andrew was born in Denver, Colorado, on February 12, 1986. He is the son of Steven (Craig) and Gina Marquez.

Andrew graduated from Bartlett High School in 2004. After high school, he went on to graduate with a degree in automotive and diesel technology from Denver Automotive and Diesel College in 2006. Andrew enjoyed anything outdoors and was always up for an adventure. He especially loved fishing, camping, four-wheeling, his guns, and spending quality time with family and friends. He was known for his heart of gold, generosity, work ethic, and sense of humor. Andrew would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need. Even though Andrew is no longer with us, he has been able to have such a huge impact on others by saving multiple lives through the donation of his organs. He lived his life fearlessly, and his family was everything to him. I’m proud to share Andrew accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his lord and savior. We find comfort in knowing he has entered the gates of heaven and has been made new and without pain.

Andrew is survived by his parents Steven (Craig) and Gina Marquez, brother Christopher (Shaneill) Marquez, sister Miranda Marquez, nephews Diego, Gabriel, Cameron, Julian, and Armando Marquez, and numerous extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 6, 2022, at the Anchorage Baptist Temple, with Pastor Preston Gagnon officiating. The viewing will start at 2:00 P.M., followed by the funeral service at 3:00 P.M., and conclude with the reception at 4:00 P.M. Arrangements are by Anchorage Funeral Home and Crematory.
