Bernice Jenkinson Reese, age 98, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022.

Bernice is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth (B.J.) Delk (husband, Ben);  her son, Robert E. Reese Jr. (wife Tammy);  her 10 grandchildren;  her 19 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

She was a wonderful mother, sister, mother-in law, grandmother, aunt, and friend.

Bernice was born in Muncie on January 15, 1924. She graduated from Muncie Central High School.

She worked at Indiana Bridge Company followed by R.J. Whitinger where she retired in 1988. She was a member of Women of the Moose and an avid golfer upon retirement.

Bernice attended St. Lawrence Catholic Church and school.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Alma Jenkinson, and her five siblings, Louis Jenkinson, Richard Jenkinson, Agnes Bell, Dorothy Bezy, and Edward Jenkinson.

Bernice was dedicated to her family and enjoyed gatherings and celebrations. She will be lovingly remembered by her family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary Catholic Church, 2300 W. Jackson Street, Muncie, on Wednesday, October 5, at 11:00 am, with Father Eric Underwood presiding.

Visitation will be at St. Mary Catholic Church from 10:00 am until Mass time at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery.

Bernice’s family would like to thank the staff, nurses, and aids at Silver Birch Assisted Living for the loving care and kindness they gave to her.
