Betty Herman Propst, 88, of Conover, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022 at Pinecrest in Hickory.

She was born August 25, 1934 in Catawba County to the late Perry and Vallie Killian Herman. Betty was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Conover and retired from Quality Cleaners. She enjoyed going to the mountains, dancing, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Dean Herman and Ken Herman; and sister, Colleen Bowman.

Daughters: Debbie Adams and husband Larry of Claremont

                   Patti Fairchild and fiance Rodney Broome of Catawba

Sister: Ann Bowman of Hickory

Special Caregiver: Nicole Johnson

Grandchildren: Derica Justice (Ian), Cody Propst (Rose Marie), Logan Propst (Cassie), Kristie Killian, and Philip Killian

Great-Grandchildren: Elam, Case, and Ayer Justice, Evalyn Propst, Brody and Pierce Propst, Kayleigh Honeycutt

A service to celebrate Betty’s life will be held on Monday, October 3, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall in Conover. Rev. Scott Bollinger will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Those serving as pallbearers are; Cody Propst, Logan Propst, Todd Isenhour, Ian Justice, Eric Bowman, and Robby Patton
