She was born May 20, 1946 in Gastonia , N.C. a daughter of the late Ben Edison Phipps and Bertie Thomas Phipps, She was a retired self employed telephone operator and started both Bowling Alley's in Rock Hill and a member of Alpha Life Church of God Of Prophecy. . Members of the family are 2 Sons, Casey Phipps of Lancaster, and Shane Phipps of Rock Hill, 1 Sister Pat Honeycutt of Lancaster, and 5 Grandchildren.
