Samuel Keith Wheeler

<p>Britton – Samuel “Sammy” Keith Wheeler, age 79 of Britton, Michigan and formerly of Narrows, Virginia passed away on September 24, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 12, 1943 in Chapel, Virginia to Samuel J. Wheeler and Veronia L. White. Sammy proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. On June 27, 1967 in Narrows, Virginia, Sammy married Brenda G. Wiley and she survives him. He retired from Ford Motor Company in 1997. Sammy enjoyed mowing his lawn. He was also a master woodworker who liked to restore antiques and furniture. Sammy was a life member of the Handyman Society. He was very personable and always helped others in need. Sammy will be remembered as an amazing husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was very active in the VFW Post 6000 where he was a lifetime member and a service officer.</p><p><br></p><p>Left to cherish his memory is loving wife of 55 years, Brenda; son, Michael D. Wheeler (Lisa) of Mt. Home, Idaho and their children, Kayle Murray (Brandon) of Florida, Jessica Ling (Alex) of Japan, Allison Wheeler of Mt. Home, Idaho; daughter, Sabrina G. Wheeler of Britton, Michigan and her son Brandon K. Williams (Kimberly) of Britton, Michigan; sister, Glonda Jennings- Abbott (Bob) of Narrows, Virginia; three nephews, Chad Pruett, Matthew Jennings and Austin Jennings and their families; great-grandchildren, Raelynn Murray, Everleigh Murray and Elijah Williams. He was preceded in death by his parents.</p><p><br></p><p>Per his wishes, cremation will take place and he will be inurned at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery at a later date.</p><p><br></p><p>Donations in Sammy’s memory may be directed to the National Kidney Foundation.&nbsp;You may send condolences to the family at www.andersonfuneralservices.com.</p><p><br></p>
