Maria Elena Holmes, 47 of Magnolia DE passed away suddenly in her home on September 25, 2022.

Maria was born in July 20, 1975 to Roger L. Grimm and Paulita H. (Grimm) Timmons.

Maria was a social butterfly, the life of the party and the one with the most infectious laugh in the room. Family was everything to Maria. She loved nothing more than having her entire family together.

During Maria's high school years, she had a great love for the stage and she was involved in several plays. Maria loved to sing, especially with her girls. She was a crafter and DIY queen who lived to design and decorate her home. She loved to read as well.

Maria's favorite things to do however were being a wife to her best friend Nate and Mommy to her beautiful girls who she was so very proud of.

Maria is survived by her husband Nathaniel L. Holmes, her three daughters Aurora, Joe'lee and Natalee, her furbabies Abigail, Tiberius and Phinneas and her furgrandbabies Tucker, Liberty and Johnny Cash. She is also survived by her mother Paulita Timmons, brothers Chris Lemire (Tammy) and Jeff Lemire (Christine), sisters Natasha Kilpatrick (Kevin), Jenn Prather (Dan), and Kelly Malloy, her dearest best friend/sister Eva Morrison (Adam) as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

Maria was preceded in death by her father Roger Grimm, her sister Michelle Grimm and her step-father Clark Timmons.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2022 from 12 to 1 pm in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 South Main Street in Smyrna. Memorial services will begin at 1 pm. Burial will be private.
