Eileen O'Keefe Behar

<p>Beloved mother, aunt, sister, confidante, and friend, Eileen O'Keefe Behar of Rockville Centre NY passed away on Sunday, September 25th at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York NY. The fifth child of Dennis and Mary O’Keefe of Bay Shore, NY, she was a graduate of Villanova University, and was a dedicated nurse and health care professional.</p><p><br></p><p>She was married to Jeffrey L. Behar in 1993. Her beloved husband Jeff passed away in 2018. She is survived by her three children, Matthew Keefe, Mark Emmett, and Hannah Eilis, as well as her sisters Anne O’Keefe (Michael Macera), Kathleen O’Keefe (Jim Pharo), Margaret Dunn (Denis), and Meryl Behar Buki (Gary), as well as her many beloved nieces and nephews. Her brother Dennis J. O’Keefe (Susan) passed away in 2016. </p><p><br></p><p>Her cherished children were the center of her world, and she could not have been prouder of who they have become.</p><p><br></p><p>Eileen was an extraordinary woman and an inspiration and joy to all and will be greatly missed. She will be deeply grieved and remained loved by everyone who knew her.</p><p><br></p><p>Donations may be made in Eileen’s name to Bethany House of Nassau County, Inc. whose mission of caring for homeless women and children was very dear to Eileen.
