<p>Cody Paul Barton, 35, of Murphysboro, Illinois, passed away at 12:21 A.M. Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at St Mary’s Medical Center in St Louis, Missouri.</p><p><br></p><p>Cody was born April 30, 1987, in Murphysboro, Illinois to Gary Barton and Betty (Hale) Woodsides.</p><p><br></p><p>He was a member of Mt Carbon Church of God in Murphysboro, Illinois.</p><p><br></p><p>Cody enjoyed fishing, BMX racing, riding his four-wheeler around town, and the outdoors. He loved hanging out with his family, especially his children, nieces, and nephews.</p><p><br></p><p>Survivors include parents Gary (Bobbi) Barton and Betty Woodsides.</p><p><br></p><p>His four children; Brynleigh Barton, Ella Burke, Annie Williams, and Sydney Barton.</p><p><br></p><p>Three sisters; Ashley Noe, Laci Woodsides, and Shelbi Barton. One brother; Dylan Barton.</p><p><br></p><p>His nieces and nephews; Dasani Cross, RJ Cross, Jayceon Cross, Dalton Cox, Hailey Cox, Landon Noe, Brooklyn Cox, Grayson Cox, and Isaac Taylor.</p><p><br></p><p>As well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. </p><p><br></p><p>He is preceded in death by his son Gannon Barton, and Uncle Dale. </p><p><br></p><p>Graveside services will be held at 12 P.M.
