<p><br></p><p>Cyrene Carolyn Holt, 82, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2022. She was born on March 31, 1940, the fourth child of Fayetta smith Sawyer and Daniel Sawyer.</p><p><br></p><p>Cyrene is preceded death by her parents, one sister, Constance Sawyer, and brother- Daniel Sawyer, III.</p><p><br></p><p>She lived the majority of her life in Topeka, KS, and recently moved to Lenexa, KS where she departed this world. She was married in 1959 to the late Ralph Leon Holt, Sr., and to this union, four children were born. They later divorced.</p><p><br></p><p>To celebrate her memories are her four children; two sons – Ralph Leon Holt, Jr. and Randell Craig Holt, Sr. both of Topeka, KS; two daughters – Tresia Holt Hassan, Kansas City, MO, and Kimberly Holt Lyday, San Antonio, TX; three sisters, Grace Sawyer Jones, Austin, TX, Mariama Hodari, Chicago, IL, and Sophia “Linda” Durden Atlanta, GA; 11 grandchildren and18 great-grandchildren.</p><p><br></p><p>A Memorial Service will be held at Bowser Johnson Funeral Chapel in Topeka, KS, 11 AM-1:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 1, 2022, where relatives and friends can come together, meet, mingle, and share stories in a celebration of Cyrene’s life.</p><p><br></p><p></p>Obituary
