Snow Deaton Schaefer, 64, of Centennial, Colorado, passed away at home unexpectedly on Friday, September 9, 2022. A lifelong Coloradan, she attended Golden High School and then attended National American University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. Snow was an accounting manager for telecommunications for over 19 years. An active member of Democratic party, Snow loved politics and was a precinct captain for years. She participated in marches and demonstrations for civil rights, women’s rights, and voting rights. 

Snow adored dogs and had a deep compassion and empathy for others. Known for her incredible sense of humor, Snow would always find a way to laugh and make others see the amusement in every situation. A deeply creative spirit, Snow enjoyed making various pieces of artwork. As a native Coloradan, Snow cherished the mountains and the beauty of Colorado. Loyal and dedicated, Snow enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her son Sky and her dog Max.

Snow is survived by her son, Sky Orion Schaefer, her dog Max, her sisters Claudia Deaton Glover (Maurice -deceased), Charlee Deaton (Nicholas Antonopoulos), her nieces: Kelly A. Deaton Landen (Erik), Allison N. Glover (Pablo F. Martínez), Adrienne L. Glover; nephews, Ethan O. Notkin (Lisa Ju), Jesse M. Notkin; grandnieces, Kambria Landen, Ava Y. Notkin, Sophie M. Notkin, Madison Martínez Glover; grandnephews, Kolby Landen, and Malcolm Martínez Glover. She was predeceased in death by her parents Ida E. Richardson Deaton, Charles U. Deaton, and her sibling, Robert E. Deaton (Alice Chambers Deaton – deceased).
