Ruby L. Reid

Ruby L. Reid, age 91 of Williamsburg, Kentucky departed this life on Sunday, September 11, 2022 at St. Joseph London Hospital. She was born on October 11, 1930 to the late Joseph Johnson and the late Huldah (Byrd) Johnson in Ducktown, Tennessee. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Lee Durham; grandson, Scott Durham; loving husband of over 50 years, Junior Reid; two brothers; and five sisters.

She is survived by four children, James Edward Reid (Vickie) of Elkhorn City, Kentucky; Brenda Gail Maynard (Darrell) of Williamsburg, Kentucky; Rodney Brian Reid of Williamsburg, Kentucky; and Sharon Kay Meadors (Larry) of Williamsburg, Kentucky. Elven grandchildren, James Reid, Jr., Jeremy Reid, Jared Reid, Russell Maynard, Tonya York, Jordan Reid, Amy Nicole Workman, Derek Wayne Petrey, Danielle Nicole Strunk, Bradley Eric Petrey, and Jason Durham. She is also survived by twenty great-grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.

She attended Green Street Church of God.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at the Croley Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Thursday, September 15, 2022 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerome Cox officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Moses Addition at Pleasant View Cemetery.
