Angela Joan Hammons, 58, of Escatawpa, MS, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2016 in Lucedale, MS. She was born on July 8, 1957 in Lucedale, MS. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother, who will be dearly missed by her family. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning, gardening, and arguing with Ozzy, the dog. She loved her coffee in the morning as she read the Bible. She was a joyful and caring person who lived life to the fullest. Angela was preceded in death by her father, Nelder Pierce and her brother, Ricky Pierce. She is survived by her children, Jack Hammons, Jeffrey Hammons, Tabatha Hammons, and Brittney Hammons; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers and 3 sisters; along with other family and friends. A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 25, 2016 at 4 p.m. at Movella Assembly of God Church Cemetery with Bro. Jimbo Reed officiating.
