Patricia Faye Stanton Obituary

Patricia “Faye” Stanton passed away September 1, 2022 in Carbondale Memorial Hospital at the age of 79.


Faye was born January 15, 1943, in Anna to Raymond “Crow” Penrod and Irma Penrod.


Faye married Claude William Stanton in 1963, he survives.


Faye worked as a home daycare provider for most of her life and is loved by many in the community for her work in church nurseries.


Faye is survived by her husband, four children Nancy (Dan) Bitner, Lisa Keller, Claude Stanton II, and Sarah (Ryan) Ehlers. Eight grandchildren, Doug (Brandi) Bitner, Nikki (Morgan) Krummrich, Alicia (Rick) Stanton, Mike Keller, Jonathan Ehlers, Drake Ehlers, and Madison Ehlers, as well as 11 great-grandchildren. Her surviving siblings are Kenneth (Sharon) Penrod, Richard Penrod, and Rita (Larry) Baltzell.


Faye is preceded in death by her parents, one granddaughter (Heather), one great-granddaughter (Oakley), and one sister-in-law Ruthann Penrod.


Gravesite services will be at 11 a.m. Friday September 9, 2022 at Murdale Gardens of Memory in Murphysboro, Illinois with Pastor Frank Voorhees officiating.


In Lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Victory Christian Church Nursery.
