Rodney Lee Hoversten of Radcliffe, IA passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, September 5, 2022.

Rodney was born June 15, 1953 to Gaylord and Dorothy (Tempel) Hoversten. He graduated from Radcliffe High School in 1971. He was united in marriage to Marcia Engelson on June 30, 1973. They raised three children Michael, Michelle and Justin.

Rodney, whom most called “Hovey”, spent his entire life farming crops and raising hogs and cattle. He enjoyed his morning “meeting” at the co-op, fishing, hunting and going on trips. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, was always the life of the party and you could hear his laugh from across the room. His favorite memories were made on the houseboat with his kids and grandkids. Rod will be remembered by his quick wit, laughter and big heart.

He is survived by his wife Marcia; children Michael Hoversten, Michelle (Daymon) Sweeney, Justin (Lindsay) Hoversten; his precious grandchildren McKenna, Addison, Dylan, Kendra, Jack and Aiden; sister Connie (John) Keane; along with many relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gaylord and Dorothy Hoversten, nephew Marty, sister Eleanor (Russ) Anders and brother Gerold Hoversten.
