Thomas G. Crowell

<p>Thomas G. Crowell, of Snoqualmie, WA passed away on August 21, 2022 in Ocean Shores, WA. He was 60 years old.</p><p><br></p><p>Tom was born on November 26, 1961 in Derby, CT, the son of William &amp; Nancy Crowell. He was raised in Stamford before moving to Kent, WA in 1977.</p><p><br></p><p>Tom completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Washington in 1986, before graduating in 1993 from University of Washington School of Law with his Juris Doctor or JD. While at law school, Tom was the founding Managing Editor of The Pacific Rim Law &amp; Policy Journal and the President of the Federalist Society. Before attending law school Tom served in the US Marines attaining the rank of Captain.</p><p><br></p><p>On July 14, 2001, Tom married Julie Staples in her hometown of Wenatchee, WA. It was a joyous occasion. Their son Joey was born the following year.</p><p><br></p><p>Tom was known to his friends and family as a lover of history and literature, travel, photography, astronomy, birdwatching, and enjoying time with his beloved family on the Washington coast. Tom was a kind and gentle soul, a devoted husband and a loving father.</p><p><br></p><p>Tom is survived by his wife Julie and son Joey; his siblings William, James, Denise, and Kristina; and his mother and step-father, Nancy and Bernd Heinrich. Everyone who knew and loved Tom will miss his sense of humor, loving spirit, and endless love of rhetoric. Our loss is Heaven’s gain.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Evergreen Supported Living, Bellingham WA.</p>

I will always remember Tom smiling and laughing. Whether he was having a heated debate (which he loved) or sharing his vast knowledge on a wide variety of topics, he always had a smile on his face and kept everyone entertained.
