Dr. Jeffery Donner Elmira, New York Obituary

Dr. Jeffery Donner

We are sad to announce the passing of Dr. Jeffery Donner of Elmira, NY. He died at the age of 71 on August 25th, 2022. Dr. Donner is survived by his wife, Hollace; his children, David and partner, Janice, Mindal and her husband, Jason, and Peri and her husband, John. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jackson, Molly, Vivienne, John Jeffrey, Lucas, and Lila. Jeff was an important part of many people's lives. He served the Southern Tier community faithfully as a psychologist, mentor, counselor, and friend for over 40 years. Aside from owning his own psychology practice in Elmira, Jeff worked at the Chemung County Arc, BOCES Broad Street, and in conjunction with many other organizations. Jeff loved the Mets, the Jets, the Knicks, sci-fi, Art, writing, traveling, but most of all, he lived for helping others, and spending time with his adoring family. The common theme between everyone who knew, or even just met Jeff, was that he was happy, fun, brilliant, and knew how to help everyone who he came in contact with. Even if you met Jeff for five minutes, you would remember him and what he told you, and you would be a better person for it. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that a donation be made in his memory to the The Arc of Chemung-Schuyler or a charity of your choice. The address of Arc is: 711 Sullivan Street, Elmira, NY 14901. If you choose to earmark gifts to the clinic, please reference The Arc of Chemung-Schuyler's Development Health Services Program. www.bakerfamilyfuneralhome.com

Greatest advice from Dr. Donner that I will always remember him joking about was "If common sense was so common, everyone would have it!"
I always enjoyed working with him and his wife, Hollace. He knew how to turn any conversation into a positive one and make you fee...
