Mercedes T. Voss

Mercedes T. Voss age 85; beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister passed away on Tuesday August 9th 2016. She is survived by her 3 children Alice, David, and Dennis. Along with her 7 grandchildren Scott, Monica, Erik, Charleen, Paul, Chad and Ryan and her 8 great grandchildren Kasey, Rylee, Nicolas, Kaitlin, Addison, Luke, Alyssa and Daniel. Her brothers and sister; Larry “Pelusa”, George and Louise. She was preceded in death by her husband Charlie of 28 years, and 8 brothers and sister. Mercedes was a resident of Rossmoor for the last 13 years where she was involved in and president of many organizations including golf, cards, mahjong, and bocce ball. Mercedes passed while playing bocce ball and was surrounded by many of her friends. A viewing and rosary service will be held at Hull’s Walnut Creek Chapel on the evening of Monday August 15th from 5-8pm. Father Joseph Parekkatt of St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Walnut Creek will be performing the rosary service beginning at 7pm. On the morning of Tuesday August 16th the procession will leave Hull’s for Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma at 8:30am with a short service in Holy Cross Chapel performed by Father Marion Farana of St. Paul's at 10:30am. A reception will be held in honor of Mercedes at the Stanley Dollar room in Rossmoor 12:30pm.
