Terry Howard Hightower

Terry Hightower passed away on Friday, August 19, 2022. Terry Hightower was born on June 13, 1951 to Willie J. Hightower, Sr. and Gladyse L. Hightower in Perry, Fl. He was a graduate of Taylor County High School, Class of 1969. Terry enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1971. During his 30-year career, he held many assignments from beginning at Carswell, Texas, Altus, Oklahoma, tours of duty in Guam and Afghanistan and final assignment at Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska. He was very proud of his years in the Service and the experiences he gained. Terry retired in 2000 with the rank of Master Sergeant. Terry was smitten by his wife Christine, and shared over 51 years of marriage. They were married on July 10, 1971. Terry was an avid bowler, enjoyed fly fishing in his early days, gardening his rose bushes and upon retiring he traded his hobby for RVing in his diesel pusher. He was a wonderful and loving husband and he loved his family. Mr. Hightower is preceded in death by: his parents, Willie J. Hightower, Sr. and Gladyse L. Hightower; brother, Michael Hightower. He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Christine Hightower; sister, Elizabeth Williams (Alonzo) of Bentonville, AR; brothers, Willie Hightower, Jr. (Carolyn) of Tallahassee, FL, Marquis Hightower (Linda) of Converse, TX, James L. Hightower (Angie) of Anchorage, AK and Desi Hightower (Kersandra) of High Springs, FL; aunts, Sylvia Watson and Velma Chapple (Boston, MA); sisters-in-law, Margaret Dyson of Jacksonville, FL, Sara McLoud of Burbank, CA; brother-in-law, Charlie Wiley (Rhudine) of Miami, FL and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
