Rosmary Jeanne Bakker was born July 7, 1931 to Harry and Dorothy Scanlon in Maple Lake, MN where she was raised on the farm with her four brothers and four sisters.

Rosie married Dale Bakker and they were blessed with four children. She spent most of her life in Bloomington, MN and developed many lifelong friendships with her neighbors, colleagues, and patient’s families. She provided loving care as a pediatric nurse.

She was affectionately known by many as Grandma Rosie.

Rosmary was preceded in death by her husband Dale, her parents, and siblings Keith, Clyde, Daryl, Shirley, Jackie, and Diane.

She will be fondly remembered by her daughter Maribeth (Eric); sons, Gary (Vicki), Bruce (Jean), and Tom; sister, Janice (Gene) Kuhlman; brother, Mike Scanlon; grandchildren, Paul (Hilary), David (Holly), Joel (Nikki), Matthew (Liz), Luke (Amber), Emily (Max), Tom (Hailey), Kaili, and McKenzie; great-grand children, Owen, Emma, Hadley, Jon, Henrik, Quinn, Casch, Corbin, Anders, and Jesse, numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Edwards Catholic Church 9401 Nesbitt Ave S Bloomington, MN on Friday August 26th at 11:00am with Visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow at a later date at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
