Eric Joseph Maher

“Dad… a son’s first hero, a daughter’s first love.”
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Eric Maher announce his sudden passing on August 13th, 2022 at the age of 72 years.

Eric leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his son Jason, daughter Renee (Craig), son Kenny (Danielle), partner Brenda and her son Tyler.
Grandchildren Kesten, Kyren, Keagan and Kasey.
Siblings Leo (Delores), Martha (Phillip), Margie (Angus) and Cyril, brothers-in-law Manuel and John, as well a large circle of nieces, nephews and good friends.

He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Margaret, infant brother Johnny, sisters Bride and Kay.

Eric was an avid fisherman who loved the water and the outdoors. He dearly loved spending time with his family, socializing with friends and striking up a conversation with everyone he passed. Eric was never stuck for a story and never seen without a grin.

Visitation will take place on Thursday August 18th, 2022 from 7:00 - 9:00 pm at Oram’s Funeral Home in Glovertown, NL
Service to follow on Friday August 19th, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the Church of Scared Heart in Cull’s Harbour, NL.
