Thomas Allan Pursch

Thomas Allan Pursch of Wolfeboro, NH, age 71, loving father, grandfather and husband to Marsha, passed away surrounded by his family on Tuesday, August 9th. Tom was born April 20th, 1951 in Logansport, Indiana to mother Doris McCarty Pursch and father George Junior Pursch. Tom was a graduate of Logansport High School and later Purdue University where he earned a degree in Industrial Engineering that would pave the way for a long and successful career. Tom and Marsha married in 1972 and moved around the country before finally settling in Nashua, New Hampshire in 1985 where they raised three children, son Adam Pursch and daughters Ashley Behrend and Aubrey Talbot. He was exceedingly proud of his seven grandchildren: Jack, Avery, Savannah, Evan, Sadie, Isabelle and Teagan, who all knew him as Gumpy. Nothing made him happier than spending time with his friends and family at his beloved lake house in Wolfeboro. Tom enjoyed a long and successful career with several companies, including long stints in various leadership roles at Teradyne and later Rapid Sheet Metal. He forged many lifelong friendships and was well respected by his colleagues who often sought his guidance and sage advice even after his retirement in 2018. Tom is survived by his wife, children and grandchildren, daughter-in-law Amanda Pursch and son-in-law Noah Behrend, sister Shirley Hardt and brother-in-law Thomas Hardt, brother-in-law Darryl Benn and wife Angie, brother-in-law Michael Benn and wife Marianne, brother-in-law Sam Strasser and wife Jean, sister-in-law Kathy Boehme, as well as many nieces and nephews. A celebration of Tom’s life will take place Thursday, September 1st from 6pm-9pm at the Manchester Country Club, 180 S. River Rd., Bedford, New Hampshire and all are welcome to attend.
