<p>Wesley Gerald Silvers, age 53, of Valdese, NC passed away unexpectedly Thursday, August 11, 2022, at his home.</p><p><br></p><p>Wesley was born December 22, 1968, in McDowell County, NC to Gerald Silvers of Nebo, NC and to the late Sondra Sue Castle Silvers. He worked as an electrician for Continental in Morganton, NC. Wesley was an avid golfer and sports lover. He excelled at all sports and was always excited to try new things. He loved music and dancing, and he had some great dance moves. Wesley was wonderful, loving, caring, outgoing, friendly, and personable. He never met a stranger and he always put others before himself. The loss of Wesley leaves a void in his family’s hearts that will never be filled. He will be deeply missed.</p><p><br></p><p>In addition to his father, those left behind to cherish Wesley’s memory are his step-mother, Robbin Silvers; his fiancé, Wendy Young of Marion, NC; two children, Asheton Silvers (Wesley Aycock) of Black Mountain, NC and Weston Silvers (Ciera Waldrop) of Claremont, NC; five grandchildren, Laken, Renesmee, Madison, Annalyse, and Avery; one step-grandson, Braylin Waldrop; one brother, Wade Silvers of Marion, NC; two step-brothers, Aaron G. Walker of Asheville, NC and Brian S. Walker (Leigha) of Nebo, NC; and several nieces and nephews.</p><p><br></p><p>The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Sunday, August 14, 2022, in the chapel of Westmoreland Funeral Home in Marion. A memorial service to celebrate Wesley’s life will follow at 3:00 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Jim Buchanan and Rev. Ronnie Gentry officiating.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
