Nevada "Jackie" Hodges Hobbs

Nevada "Jackie" Hodges Hobbs, 58, of Clinton, NC answered the Master's call August 10, 2022 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro, NC. Funeral service will be 1:00pm August 14, 2022 at Kenansville Eastern Missionary Baptist Association (KEMBA) Warsaw, NC. Visitation will be 12:00pm - 1:00pm (one hour prior to the service). “Jackie” as she was affectionately called, was born in Baltimore, Maryland on July 18, 1964 to Elma Hodges and the late Thomas C. Hodges. She received her education in the Duplin County Public Schools System and graduated from James Kenan High School in the Class of 1982. Jackie was united in holy matrimony to Bobby R. Hobbs in 2004. Jackie was employed as a machine operator for over 18 years at Nestaway, Clinton, NC before her health began to decline. She also worked at Precision Tools, Clinton, NC as well. Jackie hobbies were spending time with her grandchildren, bowling and advocating for breast cancer survivors. She was loving person and a true warrior! She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all. In addition to her father, Jackie was also preceded in death by her grandmother, Mattie V. Morrisey which was her special side kick and one Goddaughter, Chinelle Hodges. She leaves to cherish her precious memories: Husband: Bobby R. Hobbs One Daughter: LaToya Sioban Wilson (Demarcus) One Bonus Son: Ivey Sampson, Sr. Two Grandchildren Who She Simply Adored: Kristen Sampson “Princess K” and Ivey Sampson, Jr. “Ivey, J.” Mother: Elma Hodges Three Sisters: Addie Y. Hodges, Cassandra Miller, and Dalphne B. Williams (George) A Special Godmother: Mrs. Loise Patterson One Goddaughter: Chamika Jackson (Gerald) One Aunt: Addie H. Price Three Nieces, One Nephew, One Great-Nephew A Host of: Aunts, uncles , extended family and many friends who will miss her dearly.
