<p>Stanley C. Moore, 79, of South Bend, IN, passed away at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2022 in his home, surrounded by his loving family.</p> <p>He was born on May 17, 1943 in Linton, IN, and had lived in California for many years, before moving to Grand Prairie, TX and then to South Bend, IN.</p> <p>Stanley served in the U.S. Army, where he was a Veteran of the Vietnam War.&nbsp; He worked as a self- employed Design Engineer for many years, designing Automation Machines, satellites and military aircraft.</p> <p>On July 26, 2004, he married Janet K. (Nickerson) Brandt at the Chapel by the Court House in Las Vegas, NV.</p> <p>Stanley is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Janet K. Moore of South Bend, IN; his step son, Jason F. (Ally) Brandt of South Bend, IN; four grandchildren, Johnathan and David Duarte, both of El Paso, TX; Emma and Beau Brandt, both of South Bend, IN; his mother-in-law, Margaret Nickerson; two sisters-in-law, Judith (Rick) Gordenier; Jamie (Mark) Warner; and the whole Brandt family whom he claimed as his brothers and sisters; several nieces &amp; nephews and great nieces &amp; great nephews.</p> <p>He was preceded in death by his mother, Ilene Price Gallion, loving daughter, Sandra Moore-Duarte; father-in-law, James F. Nickerson; and two brothers, Wallace G. Moore; and Richard Leighton II.</p> <p>Stanley loved fishing, astronomy, studying the stock market, and was always pondering the mysteries of the universe.</p> <p>Per Stanley&rsquo;s wishes, there will be no visitation.&nbsp; A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.</p> <p>In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 East Ohio Street, Suite 500 Chicago, Illinois 60611.</p> <p>Kaniewski Funeral Home, South Bend, IN is handling arrangements.&nbsp; To send online condolences, please visit www.kaniewski.com.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Stanley C. Moore, 79, of South Bend, IN, passed away at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2022 in his home, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on May 17, 1943 in Linton, IN, and had lived in California for many years, before moving to Grand Prairie, TX and then to South Bend, IN.
