James "Jimmy" E. Geairn III

<p>James E. &ldquo;Jimmy&rdquo; Geairn III, 30, of Elkhart, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at his residence. He was born in Elkhart on March 14, 1992, to the late Brenda K. (Sweeten) Geairn and James Edward Geairn Jr., who survives him.</p> <p>Jimmy is also survived by his loving wife, Hadlee Geairn; brothers, Scott H. Sweeten and Westley C. Geairn; best friend, Brandon Mishler; and faithful chihuahua companion, Lilly. He is preceded in death by his mother and cousin, Jeffery E. Sweeten, who was like a brother to Jimmy.</p> <p>Family and friends are called to gather for a visitation on Monday, August 15, 2022, from 4-6 p.m. with a service to follow at 6 p.m. at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. in Elkhart. In accordance with the family&rsquo;s wishes, cremation will follow the services.</p> <p>Jimmy had a big heart and was always willing to put others first before himself. He was the kind of man who would drop everything in order to help someone in need. Jimmy graduated from Jimtown High School in 2011 and married the love of his life, Hadlee Creech, on June 26, 2021. He worked for Thor Motor Coach as a leader in receiving and was a hard worker with a passion for all things automotive. In his spare time, he enjoyed fixing old cars and anything else he could get his hands on. He loved seeing how certain equipment and cars operated and enjoyed the thrill of putting them back together. Jimmy&rsquo;s pride and joy was his Blue &rsquo;08 Mustang GT and his plow truck. When he wasn&rsquo;t working on cars, he enjoyed spending time with his beautiful wife, especially when they would take impromptu trips to the mountains together. Jimmy will be greatly missed by his loving family, friends, and all the lives he touched with his kindness.</p>
