<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size:36px;"><strong>No&nbsp; Public Viewing</strong></span></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:16px;">Ms. Karen Neal Barnes began life&rsquo;s journey on November 27, 1956 to the parentage of the late Mr. Bud and Georgia C. Neal in Anniston, Alabama.</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:16px;">At an early age, Karen accepted Christ as her Lord and personal Savior at Gaines Chapel A.M.E. Church where she was an active YPD&rsquo;er and Substitute Program Announcer. Her demise certainly brings great sorrow to our hearts, but memories of Karen&rsquo;s life will be forever cherished.</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:16px;">While living in Anniston, she attended Anniston Public Schools and received her education at Twelfth Street Elementary and both Cobb and Anniston High Schools. Karen graduated with honors in the Class of 1975 as an excellent scholar. Under the leadership of her Educators, she excelled in reading and readiness.</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:16px;">After graduation, she located to California and ironically retired from the School System. After returning to Anniston, she became an avid jewelry designer. </span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:16px;">On Saturday, August 6, 2022, angels stopped by and a beloved mother, sister, aunt and friend answered the Master&rsquo;s call peacefully. God in His special way, at His perfect time, picked from our midst this beautiful soul and added her to His heavenly home where her spirit will bloom forever. Karen will truly be missed, but not forgotten.</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:16px;">Her memory will be forever cherished by her beloved daughter, Jennifer Barnes McDougal; siblings, Monica (Elijah Jr.) Ray and Shelby McKinnon; aunt, Willie Nixon; and a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:16px;">Karen was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Bud and Georgia C. Neal; brother, Willie P. Neal and Teri L. Neal; grandmothers, Georgia Smith and Mattie Allen; aunts, Clara (FM) Huff, Mary Jo (Utah) Kemp, Ida (Clarence) Armour, and Johnnie (Robert) Pope; uncles, John (Idell) Neal, Harvey Nixon, and George Colquitt.</span></strong></p>
