Charles H. "Bud" Richter, 80, retired El Paso County deputy sheriff, former Navy Seabee and patriotic American, passed away unexpectedly at his home April 12, 2016. Bud was born May 23, 1935 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Bud was a devoted family man and husband of Gean for 58 years. Bud was survived by two sons; Denver police officer Curtis Richter and Michael Richter of Colorado Springs, grandaughter; Michaela Richter of Montana, and sister; Joanne MacDougall of Las Vegas, Nevada.
